Wiam Wahhab, head of the Arab Unification Party, spoke in a media interview about the political and security developments in the region, with particular focus on the situation in Syria. During the interview, Wahhab delivered strong warnings, stating that some of the ongoing events could pose a threat to minorities, especially the Druze community. He also directed sharp criticism at Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, noting that the continuation of tensions could lead to greater escalation if the security situation is not brought under control.
Wahhab added that any attempt to attack areas with a Druze majority would likely be met with a strong response from the residents of those regions, stressing that they are prepared to defend themselves if they face any threat. He also called for addressing tensions through dialogue and political solutions in order to prevent the conflict from expanding. At the end of the interview, he emphasized the importance of wisdom and awareness during this sensitive period to avoid new confrontations that could further complicate the situation in the region.
