The tweet by the head of the Arab Unification Party, Wi’am Wahhab, about Suwayda did not come out of nowhere. Rather, it constituted a decisive message aimed at blocking the path of those lying in wait for the security of Suwayda and the safety of its people. Wahhab said in his tweet on the X platform:
“So that no one miscalculates: the north is different from the south, and what applies in northern Syria does not apply in its south. Cool down the hotheads.”
Wahhab’s tweet came as a warning about what is being plotted behind the scenes and in dark rooms, where efforts have begun to launch a psychological war against Suwayda through systematic media incitement, aimed at transferring the scene to Suwayda after the recent battles in northern Syria between the SDF forces and the Jolani authority.
Dark Rooms and Programmed Rumors
In this context, and after the end of the confrontations between the Jolani authority and the SDF, the media affiliated with the Damascus authority began a systematic incitement campaign targeting Suwayda. Voices that had started promoting an alleged victory for the Jolani authority are now attempting to shift attention toward the south—meaning that Suwayda is now facing a media–psychological war aimed at striking it and dismantling it from within.
Related information indicates that media outlets affiliated with the Jolani authority will begin a campaign of disinformation and rumor-mongering across various platforms. You will hear reports of alleged defections, clashes, internal disputes, and displacement in Suwayda—all of which are completely unfounded.
Turkish–Qatari Intelligence Oversight
According to the information, there is a media operations room prepared by the Jolani authority in one of Damascus’s hotels, under the direct supervision of Turkish and Qatari intelligence services. This room manages hundreds of fake accounts bearing names associated with the Druze community.
The primary objective of this operations room is to spread rumors, create fractures within Suwayda governorate, instigate divisions among its components, exploit family and personal disputes among the people of Suwayda, and indirectly incite against both the spiritual and military leaderships.
Beware of “Druze-on-Druze” Sedition
In conclusion, based on the above, it appears clear that after closing the SDF file, there is an attempt by the Jolani authority to engage in media incitement against Suwayda in order to sow “Druze-on-Druze” strife, with the goal of weakening the Mountain from within and preparing the ground for the implementation of certain suspicious projects. This requires the highest levels of caution and awareness from all the people of Suwayda, standing united as one front and avoiding the trap prepared by the de facto authority and its toxic media to tamper with the security and stability of Suwayda, its people, its spiritual authority, and its military forces.
